Vine to Wine with FRB!

Vine to Wine with FRB!

What started as a the pratical application from a vitaculture class thier son took in college, has led FRB friends and farmers, Doug and Deb Harford, to brainstorm a fun and interactive addtion to thier growing project.

On September 7th they invite you to come and be part of the farm as they harvest the grapes in their local IL vineyard and make them into wine.

For a donation of $400 per couple, up to 20 couples are invited to join the Harfords for the September wine grape harvest and bottling day in April.

When: Saturday, September 7th and a TBA date in April

Time: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Where: Harford Farms, 650 South Baker Road, Mazon, IL 60444

What: Help harvest the Harford's crop of locally grown Illinois red and white grapes, bring them to the shop and de-stem and crush the grapes and prepare them for fermentation.

In April you will come back to the farm and help adjust and bottle the wine. This is a fun time when you first taste the new wine and adjust to taste! You will then receive 6 bottles of your wine that you made to share with your friends.

What you need to bring on Sept 7th: Gloves and work attire. Bring a five gallon bucket and pruning shears if you have them.

What you get: Two days working on the farm, lunch each day, labels for you to design for your wine, FRB Vine to Wine apron and hat, and six bottles of wine to share with your friends.

It's farming, yields are variable but 100% of your donation goes to FRB!
