We need you! Join the CA Olive Harvest this Sunday!

Join members of the Davis Community Church and the Davis Community Corn Growing Project this Sunday 10/27 to harvest olives between the hours of 11am and 3 or 4pm. You do not need to commit to the whole afternoon--even if you have just an hour or two, we'll take it! We'll need responses from at least 20-30 people in the next day or two in order to move forward; otherwise, we will have to pass this year. Please respond to dcc_cornproject@yahoo.com if you are willing and able to pick.

For a second year, the olives they pick will be milled by Mike Madison in Winters, bottled, labeled and sold after Sunday services – with 100 percent of the revenue going to support an FRB agriculture development project in a developing county sponsored by the Foods Resource Bank (foodsresourcebank.org). You don’t have to be in America to dream.

We need to get as much of this ripe fruit before the birds get it!! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring a refillable water bottle, hat, sunscreen, etc.  Address is 41509 County Road 27, Woodland.

We hope to see you before the rain sets in… and we hope it does.
