Objective: Sustained change in areas of food access and crop diversification, sustainable livelihoods, nutritional education and malnutrition levels, soil and water management, reforestation and micro-basin management, economic recovery and self-reliance, community organizing, women empowerment and civic education through:
- Providing participant families with access to culturally appropriate on-site technical assistance.
- Training farmers and local leaders, especially women, and creating opportunities for dissemination of indigenous knowledge and adoption of appropriate technologies by program participants.
- Creating and nurturing communities of practice and learning with local partner agencies.
